DATANORM

DATANORM is a standard procedure for the data exchange of article master data between product suppliers, specialised wholesalers, and craft businesses. DATANORM is a product data exchange format, not a software. Special industry solutions are required to create (export) and process (import) it. It is mainly used in the construction sub-trade in the sanitary, heating, electrical and painting and varnishing industries. The craftsman can use these files to import data (article and price catalogues) into his calculation program and store them in the master data. The data is stored in a structured way in a simple text file (Multi-CSV format). DATANORM is published by the DATANORM working group.
